Terms of Use

1. Introduction

Welcome to Sadhisu ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the Sadhisu mobile application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms, together with our Pricing Privacy Policy and any other terms communicated through the Service, constitute the complete agreement between you and Sadhisu.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

• Prohibited Users: You may not use the Service if you have previously been suspended or removed from Sadhisu.

3. Account Registration & Device Policy

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

Google Sign-In: Sadhisu uses Google Sign-In as the sole authentication method. Your account is linked to your Google account. Sadhisu does not store your Google password. If you lose access to your Google account, you must recover it through Google's account recovery process. Sadhisu cannot recover or reset your Google credentials.

One Account Per Person: You may not create or maintain more than one account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate duplicate accounts.

Single Device Policy: Your account may only be active on one device at a time. Signing in on a new device will automatically sign you out of the previous device. This prevents unauthorized sharing of premium content and protects your account security.

Supported Devices: You will need a compatible device (smartphone, tablet, or computer) that meets the system and compatibility requirements of the Service. Supported devices may change from time to time. Ensure your device is compatible with the systems and software used by the Service.

Internet Connectivity: For the best experience, a stable 4G or above internet connection is recommended. Slow or unstable connections may result in delayed content loading, failed downloads, payment processing issues, or degraded performance of audio, video, and real-time features. Sadhisu is not responsible for issues arising from poor network connectivity.

4. Content & License to Use

For the purpose of these Terms, "Content" means any study materials, mock tests, practice questions, notes, audio, video, and any other materials published on the Service.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the Content for your own personal, non-commercial use only. You may NOT:

• Modify, copy, distribute, or create derivative works from any Content.
• Publicly display or commercially exploit any Content.
• Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or extract source code from the Service.
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from Content.
• Transfer Content to another person or mirror it on any other server.
• Share, record, screenshot, or redistribute premium Content (including via Telegram, WhatsApp, or any other channel).
• Register or use any domain name, trade name, trademark, app name, or other source identifier that incorporates or is confusingly similar to "Sadhisu" / "ಸಾಧಿಸು", or that falsely implies affiliation with or endorsement by us.

This license terminates automatically if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by us at any time.

5. Subscription & Payments

• Sadhisu offers both free and premium subscription plans.
• By subscribing, you authorize Sadhisu (or our payment processor, Razorpay) to charge the applicable fees to your selected payment method.
• Pricing may change at any time. Changes take effect upon notice on the Pricing Page or upon your next renewal. Existing active subscriptions will not be affected until their current period ends.
• All fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of all applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Free Trial: Certain features may be available as a free trial for a limited period. At the end of the trial, access to premium features will be restricted unless you purchase a subscription.
• No Auto-Renewal: Sadhisu subscriptions do not auto-renew. You must manually purchase a new plan when your current subscription expires. We may send you a reminder notification before expiry.
• Payment Security: All payment processing is handled by Razorpay, an RBI-licensed Payment Aggregator. Sadhisu does not store your card details, UPI ID, or banking credentials. Payment pricing is validated server-side to prevent tampering.

Refund Policy: Since Sadhisu provides instant access to digital content upon purchase, all sales are final and refunds are not available for change of mind or for partially used subscription periods. Refund eligibility is governed exclusively by our Refund Policy. To request a refund, email sadhisuapp@gmail.com within seven (7) days of the disputed charge. Approved refunds are processed per our Refund Policy — reviewed within 3–5 business days and credited within 5–7 business days thereafter.

Payment Failures & Interrupted Transactions:

• If your payment fails: If a payment is marked as "failed" by Razorpay (due to insufficient balance, bank decline, incorrect details, or network issues), no amount is charged and no subscription is activated. You may retry the payment.
• If money is debited but payment shows as failed: This can happen due to internet disconnection, phone switching off, or network timeout during the payment process. In such cases, Razorpay automatically verifies the payment status with your bank. If the bank confirms the payment failed, the debited amount will be auto-refunded by your bank within 5-7 working days. If the bank confirms the payment was successful, your subscription will be activated automatically — you may need to restart the app to see the updated status.
• Duplicate payments: If you are charged more than once for the same subscription due to a technical error, please contact us at sadhisuapp@gmail.com with your transaction ID. We will verify and process the refund in accordance with our Refund Policy.
• Pending transactions: Some payments may remain in a "pending" state for up to 24 hours while banks process the transaction. Do not retry the payment during this period as it may result in duplicate charges. If the payment is not confirmed within 24 hours, it will be automatically failed and any debited amount will be refunded by your bank.

Sadhisu is not responsible for delays in refund processing by banks or payment networks. Refund timelines are governed by your bank's policies and RBI guidelines. For UPI transactions, refunds are typically instant or within 5-7 working days. For card/netbanking transactions, refunds may take 5-10 working days to reflect in your account.

AI-Powered Features in Sadhisu:

• Daily Current Affairs: Generated using AI (Google Gemini) processing RSS news feeds. Content is auto-generated and may not reflect the latest updates or may contain factual errors.
• Trending Topics: Generated using Google AI. Topics and summaries are AI-curated and may not cover all perspectives or may contain inaccuracies.
• Weekly MCQ Tests: Some practice questions and mock tests are AI-generated. While we review for quality, individual questions may contain errors in framing, options, or answer keys.
• Study Notes: Some study material is AI-assisted in creation. Content is structured by Sadhisu but may contain AI-generated text that has not been individually verified by subject matter experts.
• Bilingual Translations: English-to-Kannada and Kannada-to-English translations are AI-assisted. Translations may not perfectly capture regional usage, exam-specific terminology, or nuanced meanings. When in doubt, refer to original-language content or official sources.
• Answer Explanations: Explanations for MCQs may be AI-generated and could occasionally contain incorrect reasoning or outdated information.
• Daily Video Shorts & AI Presenter: Some short videos feature a digital, AI-generated on-screen presenter. This presenter is a computer-generated synthetic character and is not a real person. It does not depict, and is not intended to resemble, any actual individual, teacher, or public figure. The presenter's mouth movements are AI-animated to match the narration.
• AI Narration (Text-to-Speech): The Kannada and English voice narration in videos, audio lessons, and other spoken content is generated by an AI text-to-speech system. It is a synthetic voice, not a recording of a human speaker, and may occasionally mispronounce words, numbers, or names.

Important Limitations:

• Accuracy Not Guaranteed: AI models are prone to errors, "hallucinations," and outdated information. AI-generated content ("Output") may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. You should not rely on any Output as your sole source of truth or as a substitute for official study material.
• Not Official Content: AI-generated content does not represent the views, syllabus, or standards of any government exam authority (KPSC, KSP, KEA, DSERT, or others).
• No Professional Advice: Sadhisu is a study aid, not a substitute for professional human instruction, coaching, legal, medical, or financial advice.
• User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any Output before relying on it for exams, assignments, or critical decision-making. Sadhisu assumes no liability for grades, exam results, selection outcomes, or academic consequences arising from the use of AI-generated content.
• Content May Change: AI-generated content (especially current affairs and trending topics) may be updated, corrected, or removed at any time without notice.

Your Data & AI:

• No user personal data (name, email, phone, scores, progress) is sent to AI services (Google Gemini) for content generation.
• AI content generation uses only publicly available information (news feeds, search results, educational references) as input.
• Your quiz answers, bookmarks, and study progress are not used to train any AI model.

Human Oversight:

• Previous Year Papers (PYPs) and their answer keys are human-verified against official sources where available.
• AI-generated content is periodically reviewed but not individually fact-checked for every item. If you find an error, please report it via the app's feedback feature or email sadhisuapp@gmail.com.

Synthetic Media Notice:

• The on-screen presenter and voice narration in Sadhisu's videos are artificially generated (synthetic media). No real person's face, voice, likeness, or identity is used or represented.
• This synthetic content is provided solely for educational presentation. It is not a statement, endorsement, or communication by any real individual, and should not be interpreted as such.
• Where required by the platforms on which these videos appear (e.g. app stores or social platforms), such content is labelled as AI-generated.

7. Code of Conduct

By using the Service, you agree to:

• Lawful Use: Use the Service only for lawful purposes. Do not engage in any activity that violates any applicable law or regulation.
• No Harmful Content: Do not upload, post, or transmit any content that is violent, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
• No Hate Speech: Do not post content that incites hatred against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, caste, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
• No Harassment: Do not bully, stalk, intimidate, or harass any other user of the Service.
• No Spam or Scams: Do not post repetitive, unwanted content or attempt to deceive others for financial gain.
• No Interference: Do not disrupt, damage, or impair the Service or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this Code of Conduct, without prior notice.

8. Academic Integrity & Acceptable Use

Sadhisu is designed to assist learning, not to facilitate academic dishonesty. You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service to generate answers for graded exams where AI assistance is prohibited.
• Plagiarize Output or present AI-generated content as your own original work.
• Use the Service to generate hateful, harassing, violent, or sexually explicit content.

9. Intellectual Property

• Our IP: The Service, including its original content (study notes, mock tests, practice questions, explanations, translations, mind maps, audio content), features, designs, logos, and technology, is owned by Sadhisu and protected by intellectual property laws. All trademarks, service marks, and logos used in the Service are the property of their respective owners.
• Third-Party Content: Previous Year Papers (PYPs) reproduced in the Service are sourced from publicly available government exam papers. The original questions are the intellectual property of the respective exam conducting authorities (KPSC, KSP, KEA, DSERT, etc.). Sadhisu's value addition — including digitization, bilingual translation, answer keys, and explanations — is the intellectual property of Sadhisu.
• Your Content: You retain ownership of the content you input. By using the Service, you grant Sadhisu a limited license to process your input solely for delivering the Service.
• Feedback: Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service may be used by Sadhisu without any obligation to you.
• Publicity: If you clear an examination you prepared for using Sadhisu, we may invite you to share your success story. Any use of your name, photograph, or achievement in our marketing will only be with your prior consent.
• DMCA / Takedown: If you believe any content on the Service infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at sadhisuapp@gmail.com with details of the claimed infringement. We will review and take appropriate action within 15 business days.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to or integrate with third-party services (Google Sign-In, Razorpay, Firebase, etc.). These third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies. Sadhisu is not responsible for the content, practices, or availability of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

11. Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, without prior notice.
• You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Any Content downloaded must be destroyed.
• Sections relating to Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law survive termination.

Grounds for Immediate Termination: The following conduct constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in the immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account, without prior notice and without refund of any subscription fees. This is in addition to, and does not limit, any other rights or remedies available to Sadhisu:

• Unauthorized Sharing or Redistribution of Content: Downloading, recording, screen-capturing, ripping, mirroring, re-uploading, or otherwise reproducing or distributing any Content — including audio files, video files, video shorts, study notes, mock tests, and practice questions — to any third party, cloud storage service, messaging channel (including Telegram, WhatsApp, or similar), social media platform, website, or other medium, whether or not for commercial gain. Sharing your account access or premium credentials with any other person is also prohibited.
• Scraping & Automated Content Extraction: Using any bot, crawler, spider, scraper, headless browser, script, or other automated means to access, harvest, copy, index, or download Content, files, or data from the Service; systematically retrieving Content to build or populate any collection, database, or archive; or circumventing, disabling, or interfering with any access control, rate limit, authentication token, content-gating, encryption, or premium-access mechanism used to protect the Service or its Content.
• Denial-of-Service & Network Attacks: Launching or participating in any denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed-denial-of-service (DDoS) attack; flooding, overloading, or sending excessive automated requests to the Service's servers, APIs, cloud functions, or infrastructure; deploying malware, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to, probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any part of the Service; or otherwise attempting to disrupt, degrade, or impair the availability, integrity, or security of the Service for other users.

Consequences: In addition to termination, Sadhisu reserves the right to (a) block the offending user, device, or IP address from accessing the Service; (b) forfeit any remaining subscription period without refund; and (c) retain relevant logs and evidence of the violation.

12. Service Modifications & Availability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part) at any time without notice.
• Limit certain features or restrict access to parts of the Service.
• Perform scheduled or unscheduled maintenance that may temporarily affect availability.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors or viruses.

Content Delivery & Automated Features:

Certain features of the Service rely on automated backend processes (cloud functions) to generate and deliver content. These include but are not limited to: daily current affairs, weekly practice tests, news updates, push notifications, and trending topics. These automated processes depend on third-party infrastructure (Firebase, Google Cloud, Gemini API, RSS feeds, external news sources) and may occasionally:

• Fail to generate content: Due to cloud function timeouts, API rate limits, third-party service outages, or processing errors, scheduled content (such as daily current affairs or weekly tests) may not be generated or may be delayed.
• Deliver partial or incomplete content: AI-generated content may be truncated, missing sections, or contain formatting errors due to processing failures.
• Experience delays: Content that is normally published at a scheduled time (e.g., daily morning current affairs, 9 PM leaderboard reveal) may be delayed or skipped entirely.
• Become temporarily unavailable: Features dependent on external APIs (Gemini AI, Google Search, RSS feeds) may become unavailable if those services experience downtime.

No Service Level Agreement (SLA): Sadhisu does not guarantee any specific uptime, content delivery schedule, or availability of automated features. Missed or delayed content does not constitute a breach of these Terms and does not entitle users to refunds, credits, or compensation. We will make reasonable efforts to restore services promptly but are not obligated to provide any specific timeline for resolution.

Cached Content: The app may serve previously cached content when new content is unavailable. Cached content may be outdated. The date and time displayed on content reflects when it was generated, not necessarily when it was last verified for accuracy.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sadhisu and its owner, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill.
• Damages resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service.
• Damages resulting from any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.
• Any unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated content, study materials, mock tests, or practice questions.
• Any exam results, scores, or academic outcomes based on the use of the Service.

In no event shall Sadhisu's total liability exceed the amount you paid to Sadhisu in the past six (6) months, or ₹1,000 INR, whichever is greater.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise), even if Sadhisu has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

13A. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• That the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
• That the results obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate, reliable, or complete.
• That defects in the Service will be corrected.

No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained by you from Sadhisu shall create any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.

13B. Force Majeure

Sadhisu shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, epidemics/pandemics, war, terrorism, riots, government actions, internet or telecommunications failures, power outages, fire, flood, or any other event of force majeure.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Sadhisu and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right; or (d) any content you post or submit through the Service.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

• Jurisdiction: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
• Informal Resolution: Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties within 30 days of written notice of the dispute.
• Arbitration: If the dispute is not resolved through negotiation within 30 days, it shall be referred to and finally resolved by a sole arbitrator appointed mutually by the parties, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (as amended). The seat of arbitration shall be Mysore (Mysuru), Karnataka, India. The language of arbitration shall be English. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.
• Court Jurisdiction: Subject to the arbitration clause above, the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
• Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis and not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action.

15A. Taxes

All subscription fees displayed are inclusive of all applicable taxes. Where Sadhisu is registered under the Goods and Services Tax (GST), valid tax invoices will be issued for paid subscriptions; otherwise a payment receipt is provided.

You are responsible for any taxes imposed on you by your jurisdiction, other than taxes on Sadhisu's income.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or Website at least 15 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.

16A. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sadhisu regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations.
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
• Waiver: The failure of Sadhisu to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
• Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without Sadhisu's prior written consent. Sadhisu may assign its rights and obligations without restriction.
• Electronic Communications: By using the Service, you consent to receiving communications from us electronically (email, in-app notifications, push notifications). You agree that all agreements, notices, and disclosures provided electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. Notices from us are deemed given when sent to the email address associated with your account or delivered as an in-app or push notification.
• No Agency: Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and Sadhisu.

17. Grievance Redressal

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, if you have any complaints or concerns regarding the Service or these Terms, you may contact our Grievance Officer:
